Research project funded by Shell International Exploration and Production to apply Computer Algebra methods in oil exploration and production.

This project is hosted at the group of Prof. Törner (Campus Duisburg). We aim to reduce the fixpoint height of inland vessels to enable 3-layer transport from the ARA inland ports to europe, especially Germany. To achieve the necessary reduction we investigate on classical scheduling algorithms, advanced scheduling algorithms and some kind of self-learning biological algorithms.
