Schulpraktische Studien in Modul VII

Neues Kooperationsprojekt mit dem Helmholtz Gymnasium in Essen

 

Individual Learner Support in the Language Classroom

In this project students will work with different classes of the Helmholtz Gymnasium and participate in the so-called Förderunterricht. These are classes that are geared to differentiation and individual learner support. Apart from the work at school, a seminar will provide background information on differentiation, methodology and lesson planning.

 

There are two options to choose from:

OPTION 1:

Grade 10 - Vorbereitung einer mündlichen Kommunikationsprüfung"

(LSF: Modul VII -> School Practice -> Projects -> Osieck)

 

Students are required to participate in the preparatory seminar with Ms Osieck that will take place at the Helmholtz-Gymnasium on Mondays 4-6 p.m.

 

In addition to that, students are required to teach one day per week in one of these classes:

  • Monday 3.+4. lesson (9:40 - 11:15 Uhr / Raum P2)
  • Friday 1.+2. Lesson (7:45 - 9:20 Uhr / Raum P14)
  • Wednesday 3.+4. Std. (9:40 - 11:15 Uhr / Raum Is 207)
  • Wednesday 6.+7. lesson (12:25 - 14:05 Uhr)

 

OPTION 2:

Grade 7 - Fostering literary and writing skills

(LSF: Modul VII -> School Practice -> Kolloquien -> Hempel)

 

Students are required to participate in one of the preparatory seminars of Mrs. Hempel at university. You can choose between her Monday 2-4 p.m. or Tuesday 2-4 p.m. class.

 

In addition to that, students are required to teach one day per week in one of these classes:

  • Monday 6. lesson (12:25 - 13:10 Uhr)
  • Thursday 3. lesson (9:40 - 10:25 Uhr)
  • Thursday 5. lesson (11:35 - 12:20 Uhr)

The 16th World Congress of Applied Linguistics (AILA 2011) was being held in Beijing on August 23-28, 2011. Prof. Dr. Bernd Rüschoff, formerly Vice President of AILA, was elected President of the International Association of Apllied Linguistics (AILA).
