The construction of Silicon-Germanium nanocomposites for thermoelectrics based on nanoparticles of less than 20 nm with a close particle size distribution offers a major benefit over the standard methods which are very difficult to control. Unlike the Pb, Te and Sb compounds frequently used, the SiGe system is also non-toxic. |
