Zeche Zollverein, Essen, Germany, July 7 – 10, 2010

Transcription, chromatin structure and DNA repair in development and differentiation

Dear Chromatin and Epigenetics researchers,

we would like to invite you to attend the scientific conference “Transcriptional control, chromatin structure and DNA repair in development and differentiation”. The meeting will be held at the Zeche Zollverein, a former coal mining complex located in Essen that offers an unusual and unique backdrop.

The meeting will begin in the early afternoon of Wednesday, July 7, 2010 and will conclude at lunchtime on Saturday, July 10, 2010. The goal of the conference is to highlight the latest advances in the field from a multidisciplinary point of view, to promote scientific exchange and to provide an educational opportunity for postdoctoral and doctoral researchers.

The meeting is supported by three groups:

  • DFG graduate research training program GRK1431 “Transcriptional control, chromatin structure and DNA repair in development and differentiation” (A. Ehrenhofer-Murray)
  • former DFG priority program “Epigenetics” SPP 1129 (J. Walter, B. Horsthemke)
  • DFG Forschergruppe “Dnmt2” (W. Nellen)

Applicants are encouraged to submit poster presentations. A limited number of oral presentations will be selected from the abstracts. Please note that the number of participants is limited, and pre-registration is therefore required.

We look forward to seeing you in Essen in July 2010!

The organizing committee

Ann Ehrenhofer-Murray, Essen
Bernhard Horsthemke, Essen
