Grades for the individual examinations are assigned by the appropriate examiners. For this assessment the following grades are used:
| 1.0 1.3> |
very good |
| 1.7 2.0 2.3> |
good |
| 2.7 3.0 3.3 |
satisfactory |
| 3.7 4.0 |
sufficient |
| 5.0 | insufficient |
If an examination is evaluated by more than one examiner, then the grades, should they differ, are calculated from the arithmetic average of the individual grades. The grades are calculated to the first decimal place; all additional decimal places are disregarded.
An examination has been passed when it has been awarded the grade of 4.0 or better. For every passed examination the student earns the appropriate number of credits for that particular course. The number of credits to be awarded for any given course is indicated in the study plan.
An examination has been failed if it has been given a grade of 5.0.
Laboratory experiments and non-technical subjects are evaluated with either a pass or fail.
