Matlab Total Academic Headcount License (TAH) Student
The University of Duisburg-Essen offers their students a free license for Matlab/Simulink "TAH Student". The license is paid from the tuition fee.

SCIES extends its support
The Support Centre for International Engineering Students (SCIES), extends its support offers: Since summer semester 2009 all students of the Faculty of Engineering get help in the SCIES office and can ask questions related to their study.
The students can get advice on Monday to Friday at SCIES Duisburg (BC 210) in the time between 10:00 and 16:00 o'clock (BC 210) as well as at SCIES Essen (V13S04C48) in the time between 13.30 and 16:00 o'clock.
Förderverein Ingenieurwissenschaften Universität Duisburg-Essen e.V.
The main interest of “Förderverein Ingenieurwissenschaften” is the promotion and sponsorship of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Thereby the spectrum of study and research shall be supported and so a contribution for the fortification of the Faculty of Engineering in the society shall be achieved. With help of “Förderverein Ingenieurwissenschaften” a network shall arise, which besides optimal conditions for study and research, shall as well offer to the students good contacts to industry and economy, in such a way that the change into the working world becomes easier.
