Magnetic Heterostructures and Nanomagnetism

Hetero layered structures are on nanometer scale artificially layered and separate by well-defined boundary materials with new physical characteristics. The goal of the SFB 491 is it to develop the physical fundamentals from such hetero layer systems, which have a large technological potential for applications with different ranges of the information and communication technology, in particular in the range of the non volatile data storage, the magnetic field sensor system and the controlling of future data media.
