  • Jim Breen's WWWJDIC Japanese-English Dictionary Server
    Very useful Japanese-English dictionary server by Jim Breen from Monash University (Australia).
    Includes a copy-and-paste textbox for translation of Japanese text inputs, Kanji search, Japanese-English and English-Japanese keitai word search and now even a handwritten interface for Kanji search querys.
    Besides the very extensive EDICT and KANJIDIC, a lot more dictionary files are selectable.
  • Japanese Reading Tutor
    The Reading Tutor was designed to help JFL/JSL learners improve their reading skills in Japanese. Offers a toolbox where you can enter Japanese texts, it then hyperlinks all the words and creates a vocabulary list next to the text either in Japanese, English, German or Dutch. Alternatively, one can check the JLPT difficulty level of the text entered.
    Furthermore, the page offers a reading material resource bank and some links.
  • JOSHU - Japanese Online Self-Help Utility
    A very helpful site for beginners of Japanese.
    Offers learnig aids for vocabulary, conjugations and counter words, as well as Grammar explanations and Kana/Kanji writing help.
  • Japanese Numeral Counters
    Link to a list of 508 Japanese numeral counter words, sortable by Kanji or Romaji order. Collected by Steve Trussel, on his page www.trussel.com.
