The Spring Course "Nanotronics" covers in 2009 the processing, properties and applications of semiconducting nanoparticles and is part of the educational program of the Research Training Group / Graduiertenkolleg 1240 "Nanotronics - Optoelectronics and Photovoltaics from Nanoparticles". The program covers lectures on preparation and function of optoelectronic devices based on nanoparticles as well as the theory of mesoscopic transport and density functional theory.

Speakers are international experts in the field of nanoscience and technology.

The Spring Course will be held in Duisburg from 28th and 29th of May 2009 hosted by the "Research Training Group Nanotronics" and the "Collaborative Research Center Nanoparticles from the Gasphase" both funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The venue will be the Mercatorhaus, Lotharstrasse 57, 47057 Duisburg.
