Synthesis and Functionalization of Silicon Nanoparticles

Dispersible Particles consisting of nanocrystalline silicon are produced. These material allows the construction of a photovoltaic cell using printing methods. Based on results on luminescent silicon nanoparticles it will be investigated whether it is possible to minimize the concentration of dangling bonds on the particle surfaces. This should enhance the charge carrier transport.
