This workshop is about the use of semiconducting nanoparticles for applications in photovolatics and optoelectronics. In 2008 the focus is on processing and applications. However, also related topics such as synthesis, structural characterization, function of dopands and surfaces or interfaces, optical properties of semiconducting nanoparticles, charge transfer between them, charge injection and the dynamics and mechanisms of these processes as studied by theory and experiment will also be addressed.

The workshop will be held in Duisburg on the 10th to 12th of December 2008 hosted by the "Research Training Group Nanotronics" and the "Collaborative Research Center Nanoparticles from the Gasphase" both funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The venue will be the Tectrum Tower in Bismarckstrasse 142, 47057 Duisburg.
