“Functional metalorganics and hybrids”

17 - 19 November, 2014 — Physikzentrum Bad Honnef, Germany

The aim of this workshop is to bring together scientists from experiment and theory in the field of functional metalorganics and hybrid structures. The meeting will consist of invited talks with time for discussion and provide the possibility to present results and open questions during poster sessions. We encourage everyone, especially young scientists to contribute a poster and take the opportunity for scientific exchange within an informal framework.

Topics of the seminar will be:

• metalorganic molecules on surfaces and their interactions
• molecular magnets
• molecular spintronics
• magnetic properties of molecules on surfaces
• hybrids with carbon based materials

The seminar will take place

November 17-19, 2014

at the Physikzentrum in Bad Honnef (near Bonn, Germany).

Funding

The seminar is generously funded by the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation, a private German institution which supports scientific research and education with emphasis on physics.

The seminar "Functional metalorganics and hybrids" will take place as the 575th WE-Heraus-Seminar. These workshop-type meetings are designed to allow for scientific exchange within an informal framework.

The funding covers local expenses for accomodation and meals for all participants at the Physikzentrum in Bad Honnef. No conference fee will be charged.
