Just another advertisement?
A house without
is not a home.
I confess this advertisement is not by me. On a very huge sign in the near of the bridge over the R44 in Somerset West a company is advertising a "residence-plot" (houses in a ghetto -means behind razor wire and high walls-). But it covers the ground.
- My home is not a fortress nor behind razor wire
- My view to the Helderberg mountain is fair.
- My view to the Hottentot mountains is marvellous.
- The first ocean (the Indian Ocean - represented by the False Bay) and the Hottentot Mountain range are to be seen from all over my terrace.
- The second ocean (the atlantic ocean) is on the other side of the Table Mountain which can be seen from a small part of my terrace.
- And the wine yard?
Well, wine yards in Somerset are really nothing special. Somerset Wes/t and especially the Helderberg mountain are the centre of a big and worldwide known winearea. My house is on the slope of mount Helder (helder is afrikaans and means light/clear).
