*LinguisTisch (n.) portmanteau combining Linguistik (Ger., n.) ‘the science of languages’ and Stammtisch (Ger.,n.) ‘a regular meeting place’. The goals of the lecture series are represented in both elements: (1) to showcase timely research & methodologies and (2) to foster social and collegial relationships among language and linguistics researchers in the Ruhr region and beyond.
