ZLV welcomes Brazilian researcher

Dr. Rômulo Dante Orrico Filho, professor for Public Transport with the department of Traffic Technology (PET) at the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute (COPPE) was visiting the Centre for Logistics & Traffic (ZLV) last week.

COPPE is Latin America's largest Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering and is part of the renowned Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

The reason behind the visit was an exchange with members of the ZLV chair for Transport Systems and Logistics, the ZLV coordination office and DIALOGistic Duisburg as well as the Niederrhein Chamber for Industry and Commerce and the port of Duisburg. Core of the talks was the development of new strategic perspectives and the inter- and indisciplinary cooperation of logistics partners from the public domain, industry and academia – in Brazil as well as in Germany.

The exchange will be continued during the 1. European Forum for Logistic Clusters, taking place in Brussels on the 14th and 15th of October 2014 as a conclusion of the EU project LOG4GREEN.
