PhD thesis: Waters under multiple stress: Impacts and monitoring methods
In the course of my PhD I am participating in the projects Land2Sea and BONUS FUMARI. Land2Sea addresses the consequences of human activities for water quality and biodiversity. Hereby, I am conducting experiments and data analyses to examine, how the multiple stressors due to anthropogenic land-use and climate change effect the biodiversity and provision of ecosystem services in waters. My focus is set on the interaction of these multiple stressors, as well as their effects on the different ecosystems lakes, rivers, coastal and marine waters.
The project BONUS FUMARI aims to enhance the routine monitoring of marine waters (i.e. the Baltic Sea). Therefore, I explore novel methods with the potential to improve the marine monitoring.
