Microstructural Functionality: Dynamics, Adaption, and Self-Healing at the Nanoscale
Topic of MiFuN is the time dependence of structural properties at the nanoscale, a recent research development that is expected to have a strong impact on nanotechnology.
The mechanisms range from conformational changes and self-assembly of macromolecules to the controlled manipulation of grain boundaries and other microstructural properties in nanocrystalline materials. These mechanisms can lead to novel dynamic functionality, such as resistive switching or self-healing behavior. They are also determining the life time of nanostructured devices.
This workshop is intended to foster the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas between researchers in engineering, physics and chemistry on this exciting topic.

The participation fee is 200 EUR and includes two coffee breaks and lunch on all three days, as well as the social event and the conference dinner on April 30. Invited Speakers are free of charge.
