Research: Light Emitters

CURRENT RESEARCH
Inorganic nanostructures in light emitters.

GOAL
We seek to develop the next generation of light emitters, which will feature large-area emission, long-term stability, and the ability to weather environmental effects.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • White, completely inorganic nanoparticle LEDs, QD LEDs, and ITO-free QD LEDs with a graphene electrode (SPIE 2014 Green Photonics Award for Solid State Lighting and Displays)
  • Surface and thin layer analysis, contact-free 3D-surface characteristics according to
ISO 251718 with a resolution ≤ 1 nm
  • LED measurement: analysis of the luminescence spectrum (CIE standard color system), efficiency, performance power (≤ 1 nW), luminance (<10–3 cd/m2 ), etc.
