Transferable Skills for Your Career

Successful academic careers require not only outstanding research results and a deep level of expertise in the respective academic fields but also a set of transferable skills.

Our Summer School supports doctoral researchers of the University of Duisburg-Essen with training of these key competencies. It aims at strengthening your self-confidence and coping skills, thus enabling you to better communicate your achievements within the academic community and to strategically develop your career path.

The language of all offers will be English, aiming to cultivate and raise awareness for intercultural and interdisciplinary issues and to address, in particular, doctoral researchers with an international background. All workshops will be offered as online courses.

This year's virtual Summer School will take place online from 23 to 27 August 2021.
