As a postdoctoral researcher, research group leader, or junior professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen, you can benefit from a broad range of support services. The UDE actively strives to make academic careers easier to plan and offers support to researchers at all career levels.

In the Research Academy Ruhr (RAR), the three universities Duisburg-Essen, Bochum and Dortmund furthermore offer joint programs for postdoctoral researchers and the Junior Faculty*. This enables you to optimally use the qualification phase after your doctorate to prepare for a career in research, business, or society.

The "WISNA" programme

The “Tenure-Track-Programm zur Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses (WISNA)” [Tenure Track Programme for Promoting Early Career Researchers] is intended to help make career paths in academia more predictable and transparent.



TT Academy offers – in addition to support from faculties, central institutions and central administration – a needs-oriented package of measures specially tailored to TT professors based on a comprehensive personnel development concept.
