In the Research Academy Ruhr (RAR), the three universities Duisburg-Essen, Bochum and Dortmund furthermore offer joint programs for postdoctoral researchers and the Junior Faculty*. This enables you to optimally use the qualification phase after your doctorate to prepare for a career in research, business, or society.

Career goal professorship: Within Research Academy Ruhr, we offer you a jointly developed, cross-university seminar programme every semester in the areas of strategic research promotion, appointment procedures, and leading your own working group.

mentoring³
Promoting women in academia: mentoring³ is an academic career development programme for female early career researchers of the UA Ruhr universities. Female doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who are aiming for a career in academia can participate in the programme in annual cycles.
