What comes after a doctorate?

At the latest at the end of your doctorate, you will be faced with the important question of how your career should continue after your PhD studies. The doctoral degree opens up a wide range of career paths for early career researchers in universities, research institutions, industry and society.

In addition to university professorships, for which the appointment chances in Germany are quite low, there are many alternative career goals that can be prepared during the doctorate or in a subsequent phase at the university by making targeted use of the offers available at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
