Ensuring scientific quality standards, in particular the truthfulness and precision in research, is a central task of the University of Duisburg-Essen's members and affiliates. In order to make early career researchers more familiar with the rules of good scientific practice, we regularly integrate workshops into our services and also offer tailor-made workshops on request, e.g. for structured doctoral programmes.
An academic career requires a high level of specialist knowledge and strong professional skills. In addition, numerous interdisciplinary competencies can play an important role in achieving your career goals. We offer different workshops and academies in which you can acquire additional qualifications and strengthen your skills. In addition, we inform you about the offers of UDE's faculties and other institutions as well as of our partner universities within Research Academy Ruhr.
We will be happy to provide you with personal advice on which funding measures are suitable for your research or for events such as junior conferences. Online and via our mailing list, we refer to calls for proposals and present internal and external offers of financial and non-material support. Do you need tips on a specific issue? Come by and talk to us!
Networks are a key to success in research. Therefore, it is very important to us to support early career researchers in making contacts and creating their own networks. We integrate network components into our own offerings and create additional opportunities for you to expand your network across universities, for example within Research Academy Ruhr.
