We will kick off this seminar by discussing some of the classics of queer literature: texts by authors such as Emily Dickinson, Virginia Woolf, Vita de Sackville-West, Walt Whitman and Oscar Wilde. We will then move on to more contemporary literature, discuss novels like Call Me By Your Name (2007) by André Aciman or The Virgin of Flames (2007) by Chris Abani, performance poetry by Andrea Gibson and Kae Tempest and we may even touch on queer cinema and theatre as well.
