May 19, 2015: “Mergers & Acquisitions Workshop 2015”, Kobe University
Mergers & Acquisitions Workshop 2015
Date: May 19th
Venue: Kobe University
Organized by: Dr. Ralf Bebenroth, Professor of International Business at Kobe University in Japan and Dr. Roman Bartnik, IN-EAST School of Advanced Studies.
Mergers and acquisitions (M&As) are central to spreading technological innovations across borders. M&As between East Asia and Europe have increased strongly in recent years. How technology and business operations in the newly merged companies can be integrated successfully is a central question for spreading technological innovations between firms and regions.
The “Mergers & Acquisitions Workshop 2015” deals with these questions with a focus on experiences from Japanese / German M&As.
The workshop is aimed at researchers and practitioners from all areas who are interested in challenges and ways of how to conduct a successful post M&A integration. Several experts with practical experience in the field will share their knowledge with the audience and engage in vivid discussions. The goal of the workshop is to exchange knowledge and to promote further research. We thus seek to contribute positively to an increase of the M&A success rates in the future.
