Markus Taube, Yuan Li and Shuanping Dai at the Chinese Economic Association (Europe/UK) Annual Conference, September 1–3, 2014
Duisburg researchers, affiliated to the Mercator School of Management (MSM), the Institute of East Asian Studies (IN-EAST) as well as the IN-EAST School of Advanced Studies of the University of Duisburg-Essen, have shown a strong presence at the Chinese Economic Association (Europe/UK) Annual Conference 2014, held from September 1–3, 2014, at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
Prof. Markus Taube, Chair of East Asian Economic Studies/China and Director of the IN-EAST School of Advanced Studies, gave a keynote lecture on "Driving Forces of Institutional Change in China: Global Models and Chinese Idiosyncrasies" to the full convention.
Prof. Yuan Li, Acting Professor at the chair Business and Economic Studies of East Asia at MSM and IN-EAST, gave a presentation on "The Evolution of Chinese Governance and Leadership: A Cultural Change Perspective" at the panel of Development and Cultural Change.
Dr. Shuanping Dai, Postdoc at the IN-EAST School of Advanced Studies, presented his research on "The Emergence of Chinese Entrepreneurs: Social Mobility and Innovation" at the panel of Culture Differences and Behavior.
