Language Requirements and Regulations
Applicants must be able to demonstrate German and English language skills corresponding to Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Lan-guages (CEFR).
Directly at the beginning of the program students must undergo placement tests for the purpose of establishing their knowledge in both languages and placing them in courses.
Students with language certification from qualified institutes entered in a special list are exempted from sitting the placement test. The achievement of the required language proficiency level is to be demonstrated at the registration for the final thesis.
The participation in a bachelor’s or master’s program in ISE requires as a condition for the degree the certification of the level B2 in both languages. The necessary language courses in an individual case are constituent parts of the program.
