Research Interests

  • Large Eddy Simulation (LES)
  • Simulation of turbulent reacting flows
  • Solid fuel combustion (coal, biomass, waste)
  • Multi-dimensional flamelet modeling
  • Flamelet modeling for multiphase combustion

Current Project

The primary objective of the project: “Multi-dimensional Flamelet Modelling for the LES of Pulverized Coal Flames, DFG, 238057103” is the development of multi-dimensional flamelet models for large-eddy simulation (LES) of solid fuel combustion (biomass, coal, waste) in order to represent the important application of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and to achieve a precise pollutant prediction.
