Chen Wang studied Clinical Medicine at Wenzhou Medical University from 2008 to 2013 when he received his bachelor degree. He obtained his master degree in Neurology at Wenzhou Medical University in 2016. His diploma thesis focused on post-ischemic neuroprotection, evaluating preconditioning induced by recombinant high-mobility group box 1 protein in ischemic stroke. Since February 2017 he is pursuing his PhD in the NeuroScienceLab at the Chair of Vascular Neurology, Dementia and Ageing Research under the supervision of Prof. Dirk Hermann.
Research interests

Within his PhD thesis Chen Wang studies effects of extracellular vesicles derived from stem and precursor cells (e.g., mesenchymal stem cells) on post-stroke neurological recovery, brain plasticity and remodeling.
