1994-1998 PhD Thesis about “Optical and electronic properties of beta-rhombohedral boron” (Supervisor: Prof. Werheit), Gerhard-Mercator-University Duisburg.

1998-2005   Research Assistant in the “Electronic Materials” Group (Prof. Heinz von Seggern) at the “Materials Science Department”, Darmstadt University of Technology
2002 Visiting Scientist at the University of California, Santa Barbara in the Group of Prof. Alan Heeger (funded by DFG)
