Neighborhood and Neighborhood:
How China manages its cities and its inhabitants
In his lecture, Prof. Dr. Thomas Heberer took a look behind the facades of China’s metropolises.
China is changing: many state enterprises have been disbanded, living space has been privatized and urban neighborhoods have changed fundamentally. In addition to traditional residential areas are the high-quality, completed residential areas of the new middle class. Innovative solutions are needed for challenges such as loss of social security systems and growing unemployment. How are the neighborhoods reorganized and social problems solved?
The lecture starts at 7 pm.
From 6 pm we invite you to a small reception.
The museum entrance is free during the lecture.
The lecture takes place during the exhibition „TONGYUANJU – Living and working in a laborer settlement in Chongqing, China“ by the photographer Bernard Langerock.
