The third subproject, ‘Affective Empathy and Epistemic Success’, aims to learn more about the success conditions (and the failure conditions!) of affective empathy, as well as its relationship to other kinds of knowledge such as interpersonal understanding. Among other things, this will involve learning about what affective empathy aims towards, and what the relevant epistemic norms are that are associated with it.
The first workshop for this subproject is on ‘Empathy, Grief, and Interpersonal Understanding’ and will be held on 16th June.
