Second and Third Generation Graphene Materials
A Rational Design of Advanced Nanoarchitectures for energy conversion - Prof. Gaetano Granozzi
The Surface Science and Catalysis Group (SSCG) of the University of Padova was established in 1987 by Prof. Granozzi. At that time, it represented the natural development of inorganic chemistry topics based on the Cluster-Surface Analogy.
Since then the scope and the consistency of the group enlarged quite a lot, and currently, the SSCG is formed by a permanent staff of 4 professors and several PhDs and post-docs, and is equipped with four experimental chambers in ultra-high-vacuum, CVD reactors, SEM and Raman equipments, wet chemistry laboratories.
One section of the group is coordinated by Prof. A. Glisenti and is mainly focused toward heterogeneous catalysis focusing on the use of perovskites in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells and electrolyzers and in TWC technology
