Scientist in Residence 2017/18 - Prof. Jan Gulliksen
Public Lecture: The Transforming Powers of Digitalisation - With a Focus on Higher Education
The Scientist in Residence is a guest professorship annually awarded by the University of Duisburg-Essen and funded by Sparkasse Essen. It enables the University to invite leading international experts for an intensive dialogue with senior as well as junior researchers. Interested members of the public are invited to a public lecture, comprising fascinating insights into the Scientist’s field of research.

The Scientist in Residence for the winter term of 2017/18 has been nominated by the Rectorate, paluno – The Ruhr Institute for Software Technology and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Educational Research (IZfB) of the University of Duisburg-Essen. The position will be held by Jan Gulliksen. He is a professor of Human Computer Interaction at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, and an expert in digitalisation.
