Making nanomaterial inks from insoluble rocks
Speaker: Claudia Backes is currently professor of Physical Chemistry of Nanomaterials. Before she took up this position in October 2021 she was junior research group leader at Heidelberg University for six years awarded with the Emmy Noether Grant. After obtaining her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, she moved to Dublin and joined the Trinity College. 
Her research is focused on exploiting liquid-exfoliated layered, tow-dimensional nanomaterials as versatile building blocks for further solutions processing and supramolecular chemistry.
