In the lecture, basic media theories and methods are treated with a focus on current theoretical approaches and concepts of analysis of internet data. Furthermore, the significance of web science in different domains like economy, politics and society is approached.

The lecture deals with theories and the basics of communication and collaboration systems in a business context. The students will learn about the potentials and hurdles of digital communication and collaboration and which questions are considered in science.
