Dutch and German applicants

According to the Equivalence Treaty from 1983 between the Netherlands and Germany, Dutch and German student applicants follow the same application procedure. Dutch and German applicants with a University degree (BSc, MSc, University Diploma) or a degree from a University of Professional Education (e.g. HBO diploma,Fachhochschuldiplom, BSc, MSc) in one of the study programs mentioned under Admission criteria.

You can either start in the winter term at Radboud University or in the summer term at University of Duisburg-Essen.

Start winter term at Radboud University:
Applicants can start the application procedure by contacting the student advisor for Bio-Sciences.

Start summer term at University of Duisburg-Essen:

After receiving your application, the TWM Examination Board will make an assessment. The Central Students’ Office will inform you about the Board’s decision within 6 weeks after receiving your application, at the latest.

Students with a University degree (BSc, MSc) in Environmental Sciences or in Biology with the track Environmental Sciences from a Dutch university, and students with a University degree (BSc, MSc) in Water Sciences from the University of Duisburg-Essen can directly enrol for the TWM Master program at the Central Students' Office at the Radboud University (Dienst Studentenzaken, Comeniuslaan 4) and the University of Duisburg-Essen (Studierendensekretariat, Universitaetsstrasse 2). These students do not need to issue an admission request.

Please inform the TWM study coordinator when enrolling or applying for the TWM Master program.

Applicants not coming from the Netherlands or Germany

Start winter term at Radboud University:

Start summer term at University of Duisburg-Essen:
- Application form (190kb, pdf)

Fill in the application form and submit it together with the following documents:

- a statement of motivation for studying TWM (a maximum of two pages);
- a copy of the first degree academic certificates;
- a translation of the degree certificates, made by an officially recognised translator in English, in case the original documents are not written in German or Dutch;
- copies of all transcripts or other academic records that give proof of the undergraduate studies including credits and grades achieved in each single subject;
- a translation in English of the transcripts and records, in case the original documents are not written in German or Dutch;
- two photographs;
- copy of the passport;
- copy of English language proficiency certificate(s) (see > Language skills);
- a CV (European format)

The Central Students’ Offices of the Radboud University or the ZWU, University of Duisburg-Essen will confirm your application request. Please contact the Central Students’ Offices or ZWU if you do not receive this letter within one month after sending your application form and documents by post.
