Lecture with exercise

Verteilte Systeme
The lecture presents important concepts and protocols for distributed systems. The lecture starts with principles of distributed communication: - Data serialization (ASN.1, CORBA XDR, SOAP) - Remote procedure calls - Distributed objects The sencond part of the lecture presents important and often used distributed algorithms: - Physical clocks - Logical clocks - Transactions - Synchronisation - Replication and consistency - Global state
The students know the principles, protocols, algorithms and architecture of distributed systems are able to apply these to real word problems.
