Beschreibung:

Es werden Grundlagen und beispielhafte Anwendungen von NE-Metallen, Polymeren, Ingenieurkeramiken und deren Verbunde vor dem Hintergrund der jeweils vorliegenden Möglichkeiten und Grenzen vorgestellt. Die Vorlesung gliedert sich in folgende Kapitel:

- Aluminium und Al-Legierungen

- Kupfer und Cu-Legierungen

- Magnesium und Mg-Legierungen

- Titan und Ti-Legierungen

- Nickel, Kobalt und Ni-/Co-Legierungen

- Kunststoffe

- Keramiken

Lernziele:

Studierende kennen Eigenschaften und Anwendungen verschiedener NE-Metalle, Polymere und Keramiken. Dies schließt Besonderheiten der Herstellung, Verarbeitbarkeit und Grenzen der Anwendbarkeit ein.

Fundamentals on non ferrous metals, polymers and engineering ceramics in various fields of mechanical engineering are presented. The basic materials characteristics as well as the demands of engineering applications will be outlined. The lecture is structured into the following chapters:

- Al and Al-based alloys

- Cu and Cu-based alloys

- Mg and Mg-based alloys

- Ti and Ti-based alloys

- Ni, Co and Ni- as well as Co-based alloys

- polymers

- ceramics

Learning Targets:

Students know properties and applications of various non ferrous metals, polymers and ceramics. This includes specific characteristics in production, processing and boundaries of applicability.
