Minicourse: Bridgeland Stability

by Emanuele Macri
Northeastern University

In these lecture we give an introduction to Bridgeland stability conditions on smooth complex projective varieties with a particular focus on the case of surfaces. This includes basic definitions of stability conditions on derived categories, basics on moduli spaces of stable objects and variation of stability. The main focus is on the case of complex surfaces.

Minicourse: Noncommutative motives

by Gonçalo Tabuada
Massachusetts Institute of Technology

In this course I will introduce the recent theory of noncommutative motives and describe some of its manyfold applications to adjacent areas of mathematics.
