Winter Semester 2011/12  - latecomers

All students wishing to study English are required to take an Assessment Test at our campus in Essen.

  • BA students: The test aims to determine how proficient you are in English so that you can be placed in suitable language classes.
  • BA Lehramt students: The test aims to give you information about your proficiency in the English language and to place you in suitable learning groups.
  • KUWI students: The test aims to give you information about the level of your English at the beginning of your studies.
  • Foreign students: The test aims to determine how proficient you are in English so that you can be placed in suitable language classes.

 All students who wish to study English (eg BA Anglophone Studies, BA Lehramt, KUWI etc) should  already have taken the test in 2011. There will be a test for latecomers on 22 March, 2012 (10.00-12.00 in the PC Hall). Please register for this slot now.

When you register, you will receive a verification number. Please print it out and bring it with you to the test. If you do not hear from us immediately after registration, it is possible that there is a mistake in your email address. Please notify us if this is the case (email:catherine.engels@uni-due.de).

The Assessment Test is in 2 parts (60 minutes):

1. C-Test (Reading comprehension)

Example:
In the following text parts of some of the words are missing. Your job is to replace the missing parts.
