Guest Professor - Nasan Bayar
Professor Nasan Bayar will join the GRK 1613/2 "Risk and East Asia" from 1.- 26.11. 2016.
Nashun Bayier (Nasan Bayar) is Professor in the Department of Ethnology, School of Ethnology and Sociology, Inner Mongolia University, China. He received his PhD degree in Mongolian literature from Inner Mongolia University in 1999. Prof. Bayar has been working on research fields of social and cultural changes, ethnic identity, historical memory, development, and environmental protection in contemporary Inner Mongolia, China.He has conducted fieldwork in Northern China, Mongolia, and Russia (Buriatia), and published articles in Mongolian, Chinese, and English. on the themes of social change, development, environment, historical memory, and ethnic identity of Mongols in China. He is also author of the book "Mongolian Narrative Patterns and Their Cultural Meanings".
During his stay he will be in room LE 732.
