Overview

The lecture "Physics" is offered as part of the International Studies in Engineering, in particular for the curriculums listed below. The course consists of a two hour lecture and is accompanied by an excercise group, held by Dipl.-Phys. Philip Kahl. In the excercise groups, solutions to selected problems will be developed and discussed.

Content

The topics presented in the course are listed in the respective module handbooks of the B.Sc. degree program. They cover aspects of fundamental mechanics, oscillatory motion, waves, optics, atomic physics, and nuclear physics.

Finals / Written Test

passing of a two hour long written test is required to earn the credits for this class. For the test you are allowed to bring (a) a pen (b) a ruler (c) a pocket calculator (non-programmable). The test will have a selection of equations attached, so that you don't have to memorize all the formulas.

We will provide a possibility for you to review your exam on Friday, February 27th. 2015 between 1 to 3 p.m. The reviewing will take place in MF260 at the Duisburg Campus.
