Research interests:
Elimination of PPCPs from waste water and sewage sludge.
Elimination of trace compounds during the Hydrothermal Carbonization of sewage sludge.
- Evaluation (physical-chemical and ecotoxicological) of the Hydrothermal Carbonization (HTC) process.
- Behaviour of trace compounds (primarily pharmaceuticals and personal care products) in the HTC process.
- Determination of process parameters appropriate for effective removal of the trace compounds.
- Determination of estrogenic activity.
- Applicability of HTC in the industrial and agricultural application of sewage sludge.
