Research interests:

Elimination of PPCPs from waste water and sewage sludge.

Elimination of trace compounds during the Hydrothermal Carbonization of sewage sludge.

• Evaluation (physical-chemical and ecotoxicological) of the Hydrothermal Carbonization (HTC) process.
• Behaviour of trace compounds (primarily pharmaceuticals and personal care products) in the HTC process.
• Determination of process parameters appropriate for effective removal of the trace compounds.
• Determination of estrogenic activity.
• Applicability of HTC in the industrial and agricultural application of sewage sludge.
