How can architecture and lightweight structures create comfortable places while responding to demanding climatic conditions? In his keynote lecture „Shading of places” Marc Gabriel, Director Architecture & Design at Werner Sobek, will share his perspective on the design of shading structures and their role in creating comfortable and architecturally appealing public spaces. He combines extensive international experience in architecture and design with a strong focus on integrated and sustainable planning. His project experience includes the Shade Structures for Expo 2020 Dubai, where large-scale lightweight structures, membrane systems and planted pergolas were used to provide shade across the exhibition site.
