Research Interest

The focus of my thesis work is to evaluate the relative contributions of homologous recombination repair and non homologous end-joining to the repair of radiation-induced DNA double strand breaks. I study repair of DNA and chromosome damage in the G2 phase of the cell cycle in wild type cells and DNA repair mutants. I have strong interest in molecular cancer biology as a way to advance cancer therapy
