Latest publication: Researching the Languages of Ireland, ed. Raymond Hickey (Uppsala University Press, 2011).

The present website is dedicated to language in Ireland with particular attention to the Irish and English languages. It provides links to two large sites on Irish and English by the author – Discover Irish and the Irish English Resource Centre – as well as information on the survey Language Use and Attitudes in Ireland which was carried out in 2008/9. By using a single web portal for all languages, the complementary nature of language studies in Ireland is to be stressed.
