Research interests:
My research activity is the evaluation of the UV-oxidation processes for the elimination of pharmaceuticals for urban wastewater.
Advanced oxidation processes using UV, UV/H2O2, UV/TiO2 will be evaluated and optimised from laboratory scale to pilot plant operation.
The experiments assess different types and levels of UV–radiation, concentration of H2O2, and the treatment efficiency. Economic calculations on basis of pilot plant experiments are planned.
The formation of transformation products is likely during the oxidative processes. The study of the degradation and the kinetics of these by-products will be the aim of this study, too.
