Digital Communications Group - Home

Chair: Professor A.J. Han Vinck

The research of the Digital Communications Group has an interdisciplinary character. The theoretical foundations of the communication theory were established by Shannon. Modern research in this field combines information theory, the signal theory and the discrete mathematics.

The main points of our interest are coding and transmission methods and their complexity as well as data security and computer networks.

An important axiom of our work is the practical implementation of the developed solutions. A running implementation not only verifies the correctness of the solution, but also often brings some new theoretical challenges....

We are in the institute of Digital Signal Processing
