Our research group attended this year’s DPG Spring Meeting in Dresden and used the chance for extensive scientific exchange. We took the opportunity to present our latest research findings and gained insights into the current work of others in our field of research. In addition, the conference offered numerous occasions to establish new contacts and strengthen existing collaborations. A joint dinner with our colleagues from Trondheim rounded off the visit while strengthening personal connections within the group.

Our research group celebrated a successful end to the year with its first joint Christmas party. The varied program began with a visit to the Duisburg Museum of Culture and City History. This was followed by a trip to the Duisburg Christmas market, before team spirit and puzzle-solving skills were put to the test in an Escape Room. The evening was rounded off with a dinner together and a cozy end to the evening.

Our research group visited the Duisburg Christmas market and enjoyed the festive atmosphere and Christmas delicacies. In a relaxed setting, there was plenty of opportunities for conversation and socializing away from everyday work.
