Barbara Gruenwald joins the CRC1430

The CRC1430 welcomes Prof. Dr. Barbara T. Grünwald as a principal investigator, bringing her expertise in Tumor Heterogeneity and Translational Systems Biology to the team. Her work focuses on transcriptional regulators of differentiation state transitions in pancreatic tumor fibroblasts. Barabara's group has identified distinct transcriptional drivers of regional cancer-associated fibroblast states and they are now aiming to deeply define the corresponding cell state transitions, their specific triggers and, most importantly, their precise transcriptional regulatory mechanisms.
